Answer: YES! While we are usually hired for fusion style cultural weddings, we have had our fair share of experience with Indian wedding traditions. 

If you know anything about Indian weddings, you are aware that they are lavish events lasting across a span of days. These celebrations focus on Indian wedding rituals which symbolize the binding of two souls for eternity with their families included. Our favorite takeaways from Indian wedding planning include the stunningly detailed traditional attire, importance of family, blessing the couple to be wed, choreographed dances, and tons of color! 

RCE couple, Sanjna and Sarthak, enjoyed pre-wedding festivities which were rich with excitement for the couple’s future together. Indian Bridal Attire

Our bride and groom honored Indian wedding traditions in impeccable style. Sanjna’s bridal sari and Sarthak’s sherwani were both intricately beaded and perfectly complemented each other with peach patterns. Pops of aqua blue woven into the details of their attire brought in cool tones and worked seamlessly with the ocean view behind them during their ceremony

Meet Me Under the Mandap

A luxurious Mandap was erected in the ceremony site at Paséa Hotel in Huntington Beach where the couple participated in Indian wedding ceremonies such as Varmala, Kanyadaan, Mangal Pheras, Sindoor and Mangalsutra in the presence of their friends and family. 

Fun and Family at the Reception

Wedding guests enjoyed a California sunset and refreshments at reception tables decorated with peach and blue floral arrangements as the couple changed into their second look of the evening. The celebration continued with music, dancing, and exquisite Indian food.
